Notice of Public Hearing, March 4, 2021



Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing before the City Council of the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, in said City on Thursday, March 4, 2021, beginning at 6:00 o'clock p.m. for the purpose of considering Resolutions 21-R-PS-01 and 21-R-A-01, the proposed Plan of Services for and annexation of the territory identified on the attached map as “Area to be Annexed,” which territory adjoins the present corporate boundaries of the City.  Copies of the proposed Plan of Services are on file with the Planning Director of the City of Murfreesboro on the 2nd floor of City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; with the Public Service Desk on the 2nd floor of the Linebaugh Public Library, 105 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and, at the Front Desk of the Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Annex, 220 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

This hearing may be held in-person or electronically, if hearing will be held electronically, determination will be made and posted on the City’s website by the Friday before the scheduled hearing.  In accordance with Executive Order No. 16 issued by Governor Bill Lee on March 20, 2020, as subsequently amended by Executive Order No. 34 on May 6, 2020, by Executive Order No. 51 on June 29, 2020, and by Executive Order No. 60 on August 28, 2020, by Executive Order No. 65 on October 28, 2020, and by Executive Order No. 71 on December 22, 2020, the meeting described above may be conducted electronically, and there may not be physical public access to the meeting due to the need to protect public health, safety and welfare in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.  

The public may access the meetings live electronically through Murfreesboro CityTV, which may be accessed via Comcast Xfinity Channels 3 and 1094 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99 and streamed on Roku, YouTube (, Facebook (, and the City’s website (

If you wish to speak during an electronic public hearing(s), please contact Melissa Wright at (615) 893-5210 or by 4:00 pm the day before the scheduled public hearing, to arrange participation in the public hearing remotely by video or audio.  Individuals who provide the necessary information by this time will be sent an email with electronic access instructions and will be permitted to speak either via the Zoom app or by phone. Individuals who have arranged to speak are strongly encouraged to download the Zoom app to their computer, tablet, or phone in advance of the meeting.
