Legal Notice of Public Hearing

The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on March 3, 2021 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2021-704] to abandon a portion of the right-of-way of Vaughn Street south of East Castle Street and east of South Highland Avenue.  The application is being made by the Murfreesboro Housing Authority, whose representative, Mr. Bill Huddleston of Huddleston-Steele Engineering, Inc., may be contacted at (615)-893-4084 for additional information.  Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

 This hearing may be held in-person or electronically.  If the hearing will be held electronically, this determination will be made and posted on the City’s website by the Friday before the scheduled hearing.  In accordance with Executive Order No. 16 issued by Governor Bill Lee on March 20, 2020, as subsequently amended by Executive Order No. 34 on May 6, 2020, by Executive Order No. 51 on June 29, 2020, by Executive Order No. 60 on August 28, 2020, by Executive Order No. 65 on October 28, 2020, and by Executive Order No. 71 on December 22, 2020, the meeting described above may be conducted electronically, and there may not be physical public access to the meeting due to the need to protect public health, safety, and welfare in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Individuals who have arranged to speak are strongly encouraged to download the Zoom app to their computer, tablet, or phone in advance of the meeting.
