Legal Notice of Public Hearing

 

The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider application [2021-414] to rezone approximately 17.48 acres from RM-16, RD, RS-8, and CCO to PUD and CCO.  The subject properties are located north of Mercury Boulevard, south of East Castle Street, east of South Highland Avenue, and west of First Avenue, as shown on the above illustration.  The purpose of the proposed PUD is to allow for the demolition and redevelopment of the existing Murfreesboro Housing Authority housing developments.  The redevelopment will include 173 total dwelling units (an increase of 51 dwelling units) and approximately 23,400 square feet of office and clinic space.  The application is being made by the Murfreesboro Housing Authority, whose representative, Ms. Margaret Butler of McCarty Holsaple McCarty Architects, may be contacted at (865) 300-4514 for additional information.  Copies of the application and plan book are available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that they will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.  Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.  Requests for an accommodation to enable an individual with a disability to attend or to participate in a meeting should be made by calling Robert Holtz at (615) 893-5210, TDD (615) 849-2689, at least two (2) working days in advance.

Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider amendments [2021-801] to the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to Section 24: Overlay District Regulations, Article VI.
