Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2022-406] to zone approximately 16.3 acres located along Emery Road to RS-10 (Single-Family Residential District 10) simultaneous with annexation, as shown on this illustration. The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on June 1, 2022 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider amendments [2022-803] to the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to the following sections:

  • Chart 1: Uses Permitted by Zoning District (Including Chart 1 Endnotes) and
  • Chart 4: Required Off-Street Parking and Queuing Spaces by Use.

The proposed amendment seeks to do the following:

  • modify the zones in which certain uses are permitted on Chart 1; 
  • eliminate redundant uses in Chart 1; 
  • eliminate uses listed in Chart 1 that are no longer relevant; 
  • modify the names of uses listed in Chart 1; 
  • add relevant uses to Chart 1 that are not currently listed; 
  • reconcile several Chart 1 Endnotes with the proposed Chart 1 revisions; 
  • add two new uses in Chart 4; and 
  • revise the entry “Public Assembly” in Chart 4 to instead read “Group Assembly”, so that it is consistent with Chart 1.
