April 8, 2017, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM @ Wilderness Station
Join us for this year’s Spring Bee Count at the Wilderness Station. Pollinators, such as birds and bees, play a key role in our food supply. You will be closely observing the number of bees that visit specific flowers in Barfield Park. The data collected will help us better understand bees and their habits. We will have a short talk about bees and their habits and then go out to collect data. This program is a part of the citizen science project Bumble Bee Count.
April 8, 2017, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Patterson Park Community Center
The Aquatics division would like to invite you to come take part in our one-of-a-kind Underwater Egg Hunt. Eggs aren’t just under cabbage leaves anymore! Help us gather all the eggs off the pool floor. There will be eggs to be found by all and even a few golden eggs for those who really search! Make sure to bring a bag or basket to hold your eggs while you are on your egg-hunting adventure in the water!
