Notice of Funding Available for Public Service and Emergency Solutions Grants

The City of Murfreesboro expects to fund Community Development Public Service Grants for the 2017-18 Program Year. The projects funded by the Public Service Grants must benefit low- and moderate-income residents of Murfreesboro.

Qualified nonprofit agencies (applicant organizations must have 501(c)3 tax-exempt status) and government agencies are invited to apply for these competitive grants. Emergency Solutions Grant – The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) has notified the City of Murfreesboro that it will be receiving an Emergency Solutions Grant of $150,000 for the period July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018.

The ESG Program is designed to identify sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons, as well as those at risk of homelessness, and provide the services necessary to help those persons to quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis and/or homelessness.
