Saturday, July 13th will feature The Isaacs, Balsam Range with The Tennessee Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, David Adkins, Uncle Shuffelo and His Haint Hollow Hootenanny, Grasstime, Glade City Rounders, and The Cleverlys.

The festival’s National Old time Music Competition features the authentic roots music with participants here locally, across the nation and worldwide. This Tennessee Department of Tourism “Top Summer Sizzlin” event continues with the Motorless Parade, complete with buggies and wagons. The parade will make its way down historic Main Street to Cannonsburgh at 10 a.m., on Saturday, July 13th.

Other family-friendly events include heritage activities for children, mouth-watering local concessions, a juried arts and crafts show in Matilda Macon's Artisan Village, Dave Macon’s Marketplace and a historic photo exhibit. With nearly 20,000 in attendance, roots music enthusiasts will be able to stroll through a reconstructed pioneer village with an ice-cold lemonade in hand while listening to the warm harmonies on the porches and under the trees near the banks of Town Creek in Cannonsburgh. Tickets are only $10 each day.

“Uncle Dave Macon Days is the largest music festival that we host annually and contributes $1.2 million dollars toward our tourism economic impact,” said Barbara Wolke, senior vice president of the Rutherford County Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Uncle Dave Macon Days has received recognition from the Southeast Tourism Society as one of the top 20 events in the Southeast. We are excited to once again host this festival that showcases our hotels, restaurants and attractions to thousands of visitors every year.”

Cannonsburgh Village is located at 312 South Front Street in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Murfreesboro is 30 minutes southeast of Nashville on Interstate 24. The village is home to more than 20 restored log structures and will feature living history demonstrations during the weekend.
