    Calling all cooks! So, you think your chili is the best in town? We will be hosting a cook-off at the museum. We have a panel of chefs to be the judge. This event will earn you bragging rights, a gift certificate and a trophy to prove it. We would like for the community to help us decide, so please come out and support your community cooks. All ages to partake in food tasting.

    This class will focus on breathing, strength, and alignment techniques to help get your pelvic floor working correctly for optimal support and function. Class will consist mostly of lying down and seated floor work with some possible standing movements. Ages: Adults

    Your upper body takes a beating all day. Problems at the top can work their way down through the rest of the body, causing tightness, misalignment and pain. This class will work on strengthening, stretching and aligning your mid and upper back, shoulders, chest and arms to get you upright and moving right. All classes may include standing, sitting and mat/floor work, stretching, body weight exercises, light weights, bands, foam rollers and massage balls. This class runs from September to December. Come to one, or come to all. Each class stands alone. Ages: Adults

The Greenway is a jewel of our city and beautiful in every season. Each Tuesday in November and December we will meet at a different trailhead and walk. By the end of the two months, we will have walked the entirety of the Murfreesboro Greenway! For all ages.

    Come and learn about what some animals do during the winter in Tennessee. We will discuss how some animals deal with the cold and limited food supply and how some of these animals slow their metabolism to compensate for the lack of or no food during these months. For ages 10+.

    For some people, the floor is their greatest nemesis--once they are down on it, they can’t get back up. This is an important functional and life skill many people lose as they get older. This class will focus on strengthening and stretching the muscles and joints needed to make getting down and up easier. There will be seated and standing exercises in this class and LOTS of actual getting down to the floor and getting back up. There will be no class on November 29. Ages: Adult

    Make plans this November to support our all-youth cast as they present the full-length production of “The Music Man.” “The Music Man” follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. A Barber Shop Quartet, stuffy town mayor, and a flock of River City busybodies makes this family-friendly performance the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! A show for all ages.
