  1. Hummingbird Festival

    September 5, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Wilderness Station at Barfield Crescent Park

    Barfield Crescent Park is home to hundreds of hummingbirds. Many people come to the Wilderness Station to enjoy the chatter and beauty of these tiny birds throughout the season. Come and join us in celebrating these amazing creatures as they get ready to embark on a magnificent journey thousands of miles away. Guest speakers, children’s activities, hummingbird merchandise, and much more await you on this day.

  2. Labor Day Pool Party

    September 7, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM @ "Boro Beach" Sports*Com's Outdoor Pool

    There is no better way to celebrate Labor Day than to listen to music, lie by the pool, and play a few games. Join us at the Sports*Com outdoor pool for our last day of the season!   4. Murfreesboro Madness 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

    Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Youth Development Department has the pleasure of partnering with First Shot in presenting “Murfreesboro Madness 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament.” Age: 5-17

  5. Cardboard Boat Regatta

    September 19, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ "Boro Beach" Sports*Com Outdoor Pool

    Join in the fun with your own cardboard boat, or spend the day at the park watching captain and crews race across our pool before springing a leak. Some will sink and others will float; that is the fun of a cardboard boat. Teams will consist of 1-4 people, ages 13 and up, who must be in the boat at all times. All entries must be submitted by September 16. Please contact Kyle Goss for rules and regulations on boat design.

  6. Greenway Art Festival

    September 19, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Old Fort Park Trailhead

    Sponsored by the Friends of the Greenway and Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation, this juried art show attracts talented artists from all over Middle Tennessee. Artists will be displaying and selling their works along the trail: oils, acrylics, watercolors, pottery, silver smithing, sculpture, glass and more. A kids’ arts and crafts area will inspire your little ones to explore their creativity, and refreshments will be for sale from food vendors. Spend a relaxing Saturday enjoying art and nature along the Greenway.

  7. Puppy Plunge

    September 26, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ "Boro Beach" Sports*Com Outdoor Pool

    Bring your pup to enjoy a dip in the outdoor pool at S*C before we get it ready for the winter. All dogs must be current on vaccinations. Spayed and Neutered pets are preferred. This will be a fun time for truly all members of your family to enjoy. Humans will not be allowed in the water, dogs only. No features of the outdoor pool will be on. Ages: Puppies to seniors
