  6. Venomous Animals of Middle Tennessee

    September 21, 2019, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Wilderness Station at Barfield Crescent Park

    Middle Tennessee is home to several venomous animals. The focus of this program will be on the identification, potential hazards, safety, and how to live side by side with these very important animals. In this program we will cover the venomous animals and their means of defense and prey capture. We will also discuss their importance in biotechnology and biodiscovery. This program would be great for college students concentrating on life sciences or biotechnology, young adults and children just interested in the animals that call middle Tennessee home. Come enjoy a colorful presentation and get a chance to see some non-venomous animals in person. For ages 12+.
