    Visit the City website at murfreesborotn.gov/culturalarts between September 19 and October 2, 2020 for your free copy of the Virtual Greenway Art Festival downloadable booklet. This document is your gateway to a world of beautiful art. With the holidays right around the corner, this is also the perfect place to find a very personal gift from your own home. Festival planners are committed to supporting the hard work and creativity that has been reflective of the Greenway Art Festival participants. The booklet will provide samplings of the artists’ work, artist bios and links to their e-commerce sites.

  1. Bike the Greenway

    September 19, 2020, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Old Fort Park by the Tennis Courts

    Enjoy some fresh air and some exercising out on your bike on the Greenway. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring some water and energy for a few miles. Plan on bicycling 5-20 miles at a conversational pace. Oh, and don’t forget your bicycle. No ride if it is raining. Ride will start at Old Fort Park by the tennis courts. Call 615-848-2550 to register by 9/16 and 10/14 for the rides.

  1. Imagine A Day Without Water High School Video Contest

    September 8, 2020 - October 16, 2020 @ Online/Virtual- If you are a high school student or if you know of a high school student who would be interested in, have them head over to www.murfreesborotn.gov/IADWW, read our contest guidelines, and complete the entry form for participation!

    The Murfreesboro Water Community Affairs Division is asking all high school students to help bring awareness to the value of water with our Imagine A Day Without Water Video Contest! Students will produce, film, and edit a 30-60 second video that represents the importance of water and the value it has in our everyday lives, including at least 1 of 3 themes: The Value of Water, Water/Wastewater Infrastructure, and/or Imagine A Day Without Water. At the end of the campaign, the best video for each grade level (Grades 9-12) will be chosen by a Selection Committee and rewarded a $100 Visa Gift Card. In addition one teacher whose class submits one collaborative video entry will also be selected by our Selection Committee and compete to win a $100 Visa Gift Card, to be used for their classroom. A total of $500 in prizes will rewarded!
