  2. Start Smart Summer Baseball Registration

    March 17, 2021, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Registration will be held throughout the month of March at Sports*Com, McFadden Community Center, Patterson Park Community Center and the Main Office at Barfield Crescent Park.

    Start Smart Baseball is a developmentally appropriate introductory baseball program for children aged 3-4. The program prepares children for organized tee ball, baseball and softball in a fun and safe environment. Also, it prepares children and their parents for organized baseball and softball without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. It will be a seven-week program. Registration will be held throughout the month of March at Sports*Com, McFadden Community Center, Patterson Park Community Center and the Main Office at Barfield Crescent Park. Space is limited. For ages 3-4. Registration begins in March and runs throughout the month. Program will start April 9 and last seven weeks.

  4. Outdoor Wild Things

    Our classic Wild Things program is back, but temporarily moving outdoors, so bundle up! If the temperature is under 45 degrees, we will be in the back room with the garage door open. We will sing songs, read a story, complete a craft, and conclude with a short walk. We focus on a different nature theme each week. Registration is required the day before by calling 615-217-3017 or by emailing hmeyer@murfreesborotn.gov. Masks are encouraged for all attending. Ages: 1-4

    Introduce yourself to the world of snakes. This program will cover the natural history of snakes as they entered the new world and populated the southeast, including the volunteer state. We will discuss behavioral and community ecology, biodiversity and conservation of snakes in Tennessee. This program is great for college students concentrating on life sciences, young adults or people just interested in the snakes that call Middle Tennessee home. Enjoy a colorful presentation and get a chance to see a live snake up close. Ages: 10+
