Sinking Creek
Sinking Creek has seen a lot of change in the past 50 years. The stream basin area was mainly used for agricultural purposes in the past and has changed to the residential use of today. The stream appears to have been altered several times but seems to have gained more of a possible area of riparian zone (the buffer of vegetation between a stream and other land area) than during 1950’s when the land was farmed to the banks. The stream still faces riparian zone damage due to residential mowing and development but if managed properly can continue to grow.
