Fire Hydrant Meter Rental

The city understands that contractors need large quantities of water for specific jobs and the department has fire hydrant meters available for rental. These devices are limited in number and will be made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Meters are rented Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.

To rent a fire hydrant meter:

• Read carefully and complete the top section of the Fire Hydrant Meter Rental Agreement.
• Bring the form and $1,500 security deposit to Customer Service located at 300 NW Broad Street.
• After the security deposit is collected, the meter may be picked up from Operations and Maintenance located at 1725 S. Church Street.

Meter readings are obtained and billed quarterly.
