Collection Procedures

• The City of Murfreesboro provides weekly residential collection service. 
• Place your garbage cart curbside by 6 a.m. on of your collection day. 
  NOTE: Please have the garbage in bags before putting it into your cart.
• Remove your garbage cart that same day.

Garbage Bins

Each single-family household is provided a 96-gallon cart.  Additional carts may be purchased by calling 615-893-3681 Monday-Friday 6AM- 2:30 PM or by stopping by the office at 4765 Florence Rd. Murfreesboro, TN 37129 .

Existing homes should already have carts assigned to them, but for new homes, please call Solid Waste and a cart will be delivered to that address.  Apartment complexes will usually notify residents of waste disposal options.
