Outdoor Murfreesboro and the OM Natural Resource Division offer volunteer activities in the great outdoors throughout the year. Follow your passion! There are events to suit your interests, preferred level of effort, and time available. Typical activities include natural space cleanups, weed wrangles (invasive plant removal), native plant nursery work, bird counts, and more. Visit our SignupGenius.com page to register for specific events or just let us know what your interests are, and we'll contact you when we have an upcoming event we think you might enjoy. Come share your naturalist knowledge with others or help us care for the natural spaces in Murfreesboro's parks. Get some fresh air and exercise, and meet others who share your enthusiasm for nature!
All volunteer activities with Outdoor Murfreesboro require a current City of Murfreesboro Volunteer Liability Waiver Form (found in the Sign Up page), so in addition to registering for specific events, you'll need to fill out that form. But you only have to fill it out once per calendar year, no matter how many times you volunteer! Participants under the age of 18 must have their form signed by a parent or guardian or be included on their parent/guardian's form. Note: The waiver does not sign you up to participate in any specific volunteer events.
