ABOUT COUNCILMEMBER WRIGHT

Shawn Wright was elected to the Murfreesboro City Council in 2020. Wright’s current term expires in 2024.

Wright is a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. Graduating from Oakland High School in 1999, Wright earned a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) with an emphasis in Economics and Finance from Middle Tennessee State University. Wright continued his educational career at the University of Memphis where he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He also attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville, where he earned certifications in Business Analytics and Lean Process Management.

Wright is a Realtor/real estate broker with CENTURY 21 Wright Realty. He helps small businesses with their needs, as well as, helping people in Middle Tennessee with their housing needs. Wright finished as a finalist for the Ruthie awards in 2017 for Best Real Estate Agent. Wright also led CENTURY 21 Wright Realty to win the Ruthies for Best Real Estate Firm and Best Real Estate Team in 2019.

Shawn is married to Lora Wright. They have three children Jackson, Spencer, and Knox.
