Councilmember Kirt Wade

ABOUT COUNCILMEMBER WADE 

Kirt Wade was first elected to the Murfreesboro City Council in 2016.  Wade’s term expires in 2024.
 
Wade earned his bachelor’s degree from California Southern University in Irving, California in 1995 after attending Jackson State Community College in Tennessee.
 
Wade serves on the Murfreesboro Golf Commission, the Murfreesboro Water Resources Board and the Murfreesboro Pension Committee. He is a Trustee on the Motlow College Foundation Board of Trustees. His community involvement includes Samaritans Ministries, the Blue Raider Athletic Association and Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc.
 
Wade has previously served as vice chairman of the Planning Commission and as a board member of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. In 2020, Wade was the recipient of the Murfreesboro NAACP Humanitarian Award.
 
Wade is owner of Price Paving, an asphalt and paving contractor in Murfreesboro. He is the father of three sons, Jonathan, Zachary and Benjamin.
