COVID-19

Due to COVID-19, the City Manager has asked that City Hall be closed for public access, to help reduce the spread of the virus, effective Wednesday, March 25th. If you are still needing to do business with the Planning Department during this time, we have established new policies and procedures to protect the health and safety of the public and our team members. Our department is staffed and will still be answering phone calls during regular business hours.

  • Historic Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals applications will only be accepted by mail. Payment is still only accepted in the form of a check.

Responsibilities & Services


The Planning Department is responsible for coordinating the physical development of the community. In order to do this, the planning staff is available to assist the public to obtain information regarding use and development of land in the city and to review development plans for conformance with the city's ordinances and development regulations.

  • Zoning ordinance
