Resist Aggression Defensively (RAD) Kids

Our SROs have been trained in RAD Kids, a program to help kids resist aggression defensively. The program’s comprehensive empowerment safety education curriculum, designed for children 8 to 12 years old and their parents, is based on accelerated learning theory and teaches realistic physical resistance options to escape violence.  Through RAD Kids training, children will become empowered and learn to replace fear, confusion, and panic of dangerous situations with confidence, personal safety skills, and self-esteem. The RAD Kids program will provide children with a plan against aggression. The program is set up to provide assistance to those families with little or no income. Camps are currently held during the summer only, and for more information contact Sgt. Scott Newberg at 629-201-5579.
