Senior Center Activities

With caring and compassionate commitment, the center staff is dedicated to the goal of enhancing the quality of life through prompt, efficient, and courteous service to senior adults, their families, and caregivers.

St. Clair Senior Center offers a variety of services, programs, and activities for individuals age 60 and over. The center is open weekdays 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturdays 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sundays 1:00-5:00 pm. A bimonthly catalog of programs, The Rec Connection, contains a two-month calendar of events and is a resource for classes, activities and trips, and other information for the senior.

Activities

Our scheduled recreational activities attract active seniors, including day trips and extended trips. Also scheduled are educational and enrichment programs of particular interest to seniors on an assortment of topics, craft classes, physical fitness and health screening activities, and volunteer opportunities are at the center.

Educational Classes

Educational classes for seniors include language, computer, crafts, dance, health, and more. Support groups for caregivers, those suffering from grief and those afflicted by Parkinson Disease offer support and encouragement for individuals and families. At the Senior Center, seniors have social opportunities throughout the month and year to rekindle acquaintances and friendships.

Nutrition Program

The center coordinates services with many community agencies. Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency Meals on Wheels and Senior Dining Program serves hot meals in the center and delivers homebound meals Monday through Friday.
