Oil-Based Paint Collection

Oil-based paint is collected by Rutherford County Solid Waste, by appointment only.  Please call 615-898-7739 to schedule a drop-off time.

Other Household Waste

Batteries can be turned in to the vendor from which you purchased them and pesticides, herbicides, household cleaners and other chemicals, fluorescent light bulbs (including those designed to replace incandescent light bulbs) and other household wastes should be warehoused for disposal during the annual collection. We will post collection dates as they become available from Rutherford County.


Electronics, including home computers, peripherals and televisions may be recycled at Rutherford County's collection site on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at:
