Public hearings for zoning amendments are noticed per the following sections of Appendix A - Zoning Ordinance:
Section 6(E)(1)(f):
"The Council shall hold a public hearing on such proposed amendment after receipt of the recommendations of the Commission. Notice of any public hearing shall be published in a local newspaper of general circulation stating the date, time, and place of the hearing not more than thirty days nor less than fifteen days before such public hearing."
Section 6(E)(2)(g):
"The Council shall hold a public hearing on such proposed amendment after the receipt of the recommendations of the Commission. Notice of any public hearing shall be published in a local newspaper of general circulation stating the date, time, and place of the hearing not more than thirty days nor less than fifteen days before such public hearing. In addition, a sign shall be maintained on the subject property by the applicant which meets with the size and content requirements of the Commission, and notice shall be mailed to property owners within two hundred fifty feet. Failure to mail notice to such owner(s) will not invalidate the amendment."
