Planning Commission Public Hearings

 Legal Notice of Public Hearing

 The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on February 3, 2021 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2020-422] to rezone approximately 1.28 acres located along South Bilbro Avenue and East State Street from RS-8 (Single-Family Residential District 8) and CCO (City Core Overlay District) to PRD (Planned Residential District) and CCO.  The purpose of the proposed PRD (The Row on Bilbro PRD) is to allow the development of eighteen single-family residential attached dwelling units.  The application is being made by Blue Sky Construction, Inc., whose representative, Mr. Clyde Rountree of Huddleston-Steele, Inc., may be contacted at (615)-893-4084 for additional information.  Copies of the application and the PRD pattern book are available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that they will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.   Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

This hearing may be held in-person or electronically.  If the hearing will be held electronically, this determination will be made and posted on the City’s website by the Friday before the scheduled hearing.  In accordance with Executive Order No. 16 issued by Governor Bill Lee on March 20, 2020, as subsequently amended by Executive Order No. 34 on May 6, 2020, by Executive Order No. 51 on June 29, 2020, by Executive Order No. 60 on August 28, 2020, by Executive Order No. 65 on October 28, 2020, and by Executive Order No. 71 on December 22, 2020, the meeting described above may be conducted electronically, and there may not be physical public access to the meeting due to the need to protect public health, safety, and welfare in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.  

 

The public may access the meeting live electronically through Murfreesboro CityTV, which may be accessed via Comcast Xfinity Channels 3 and 1094 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99 and streamed on Roku, YouTube (www.youtube.com/cityofmurfreesboro), Facebook (www.facebook.com/cityofmurfreesborotn), and the City’s website (www.murfreesborotn.gov).

 

If you wish to speak during an electronic public hearing, please contact Carolyn Jaco at (615) 893-6441 or cjaco@murfreesborotn.gov by 4:00 pm the day before the scheduled public hearing, to arrange participation in the public hearing remotely by video or audio.  Individuals who provide the necessary information by this time will be sent an email with electronic access instructions and will be permitted to speak either via the Zoom app or by phone.
