[ARCHIVED] MFRD Responds to Fire at Ewing Terrace Apartments

Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department's Ladders 1 and 8, Engine 1, and Rescues 7 and 8 responded to an apartment fire at 915 Ewing Boulevard (Ewing Terrace Apartments) just around 9:00 Saturday morning.

When crews arrived on scene, they discovered one of the units fully involved. According to Shift Commander Tim Swann, they were able to get the fire knocked down in just under 10 minutes. However, the affected unit and one other received fire damage, and at least one other apartment received smoke damage.

Fortunately, there were no injuries associated with this incident. Around six people will be displaced, but the Red Cross responded to assist.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. MFRD's Fire Marshal's Office has been called to the scene to investigate. More information will be released as it becomes available.
