[ARCHIVED] Drought Alert

Drought Alert: The Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Department’s service area has lower than normal precipitation. The National Drought Mitigation Center identifies the MWSD’s area as currently experiencing a “D1- Moderate Drought”. As identified in the MWSD’s drought management plan, the MWSD wants to notify its customers it is currently in Phase 1 – Drought Alert. While there is currently no action is required to conserve water, further drought may result in the MWSD moving to Phase II - Voluntary Water Reductions. At this time there is no change required by MWSD.
