miracle

Linebaugh Public Library is pleased to host co-authors Cynthia K. Landis and Michelle Shelly for a book signing on Wednesday, February 7, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The authors will be signing and selling copies of their book, Miracle on Montgomery Farm, published in 2017, by XulonPress.

A farmer, playwright, singer-songwriter, and actor, Landis shares the story of how a crippled lamb and orphaned calf helped save the family farm by accidentally immersing it into organic farming that included bugs, dirt, and, yes, poop. Lots and lots of poop.

Miracle on Montgomery Farm is a faith-based story for readers ages six to ten that introduces children to sustainable agriculture. Though the first book for Shelly, Miracle on Montgomery Farm is the second book for Landis, who also wrote She Stays with Bettye Shelton, about her marriage to country music star Ricky Van Shelton. The authors wrote this book for their children.

Landis is the Tennessee representative for the Dramatist’s Guild of America. She and her cowboy-husband raise cattle and sheep holistically on their farm in Tennessee. Shelly lives on a farm with her husband in Woodbury, and is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who was deployed three times to Iraq and Afghanistan. For more information on the book or on its authors, contact Cynthia “Andy” Landis at 515-347-3977.

The authors will be signing and selling their book for $10 cash or $10.50, if using a credit card.
