Escape for a day into the woods to join a community of adventure seekers, explorers, risk takers, and nature lovers. ‘Boro Adventure Fest’ was born to celebrate the wanderlust culture in our city. Get outside April 21st at Barfield Crescent Park to join this movement and be inspired to discover where your journey of adventure will take you.

Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Dept. and Candle Wishes Foundation have joined forces to bring the Boro Adventure Fest to our city! All proceeds will benefit Candle Wishes, a local non-profit that fulfills the birthday wishes and provides essential needs for homeless and needy children in our community (www.candlewishes.org).

The adventure starts before you even get to the festival- only way in is a hike through the woods. Then, the experience continues with live music- Hogslop String Band and The Hardin Draw will be playing, campfires, food, hammocking, slacklining, rock climbing, and so much more. Kids can head over to the Kids Zone for face painting, animal encounters, games, a story trail and more! The festival is from 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm. Attendees can also participate in the optional CAMPOUT at no additional cost (space is limited) that will begin at 5:30 and includes dinner! Perfect way to top off the festival experience! COST: $10 with pre-registration ($15 day of), Kids 12 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at: www.boroadventurefest.com.

“We have a thriving community of rock climbers, hikers, backpackers, kayakers, mountain bikers, and other outdoor adventure enthusiasts in Murfreesboro,” said Lauren Hughes, Program Coordinator for Outdoor Murfreesboro. “We are excited to celebrate this Community at Boro Adventure Fest! We look forward to providing activities for all ages to get more people interested in getting outside!”
