[ARCHIVED] TSSAA Spring Fling Championships return to Rutherford County May 22-25

TSSAA Spring Fling

TSSAA Spring Fling, an Olympic-style event featuring the state's top athletes, will take place in Rutherford County later this month, May 22-25.  The best high school athletes in the state will compete for championships in tennis, baseball, softball, soccer, and track & field.

Held at 13 different venues across Rutherford County, this week-long event brings in more than 5,000 athletes and approximately 30,000 spectators. Forty-four champions are crowned in four days during this exciting week of competitions.

“Hotels will be full and local restaurants will be very busy during the week,” said Barbara Wolke, vice president of the Rutherford County Convention and Visitors Bureau. “With an economic impact of $3.5 million, Spring Fling is not only a great boost to our economy but also offers some quality family entertainment.”

Rutherford County has hosted Spring Fling since 2006 and currently has the contract through 2021. It takes approximately 1,000 community volunteers to make this event happen each year. Please contact the Rutherford County CVB to volunteer your time or for more information.

General admission tickets are $10 per day. For a complete schedule, results and scores visit .
