[ARCHIVED] UPDATED: City Street Department closings "When Flooded Turn Around, Don't Drown"

Road Closed

The City Street Department has closed several streets due to flooding and high water.  Remember,  do not enter streets when flooded.  "Turn Around, Don’t Drown."

The following City streets are closed due to high water

Old Salem at E. Overall Creek (CLOSED)

Molloy Lane

Olin Taylor at Sulphur Springs (RE-OPENED) 

Byard at Memorial (RE-OPENED) 

St. Andrews at Genoa (RE-OPENED)

Armstrong Valley Road (PARTIALY CLOSED) 

Old Nashville Hwy at Railroad underpass (CLOSED)

The following streets  are currently being  monitored for high water or in the process of being closed:

Old Salem @ Middle Tennessee (High Water Signs Still up)

St. Ives

1603 & 1607 Hillsdale

Jamie Circle

1123 Glaze

Patriot @ Lascassas

Highland Ave.

Cherry Lane

Wilkinson Pike

Church at Lansdan Drive

Pitts at Wenlon

Pitts at Chariot

Cross at Sulphur Springs (High Water Signs Still up)

E Northfield at North Tennessee

As the day goes on, the City Street Department will continue to update the list of street closings.  Crews are also preparing for more rain by clearing all drain inlets. Please feel free to contact the City Street Department with questions about Street closings at 615-893-4380.
