Out of an abundance of caution, a number of City facilities will be closed beginning Monday, March 16.

City Schools

In accordance with the Governor’s recommendation, Murfreesboro City Schools will remain closed through spring break, Friday, April 3rd. 

CHOW buses will begin running Monday, March 16, to help with feeding our students. 

ESP will be closed. We apologize for any inconvenience that this closure may cause but we want to ere on the side of caution.

City Schools will continue to monitor the situation and keep staff, parents and our community updated.

City Court 

NOTICE OF SUSPENSION OF IN-PERSON COURT PROCEEDINGS

By Order entered March 13, 2020, the Tennessee Supreme Court suspended all in-person court proceedings from close of business on Friday, March 13, 2020, through Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cases are being rescheduled.  The Court Clerk’s Office will remain open.  Please call the Clerk’s office at 615-890-2142. 

Golf Department 

City golf facilities including Old Fort Golf Club, The VA Golf Course, and Bloomfield Links, effective Tuesday, March 17-Sunday, March 22, at this time.

Parks & Recreation:

Parks and Recreation Facility Closures Monday March 16 – Friday, April 3

The following Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department indoor facilities will be closed to the public Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3, 2020:

Adams Tennis Complex Indoor Courts. Outdoor courts and restrooms remain open.

Sports*Com

Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center

Cannonsburgh Village grounds and Visitor’s Center

McFadden Community Center

Patterson Park Community Center

St. Clair Street Senior Center

Wilderness Station

OPEN: Murfreesboro Greenway System including trailheads and restrooms, the trails at Barfield Crescent Park, parks and playgrounds
