[ARCHIVED] City Temporarily Closes Water Resources Lobby; Customer Service Lobby Closed, Drive-thru Open

LOGO Murfreesboro Water Resources

The City of Murfreesboro today (July 7) is temporarily closing its Water Resources Department lobby at 300 NW Broad Street. Drive-thru service and telephone or email assistance will be available during normal working hours, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Given the layout of the customer service lobby in the Water Resources Department, it was determined that closing the office temporarily provides the highest level of protections for the City’s utility customers and its employees against a potential spread of the coronavirus at this time.

This closure is expected to be for a short period. Customer service assistance will be available online at www.murfreesborotn.gov/MWRDForms, by phone at 615-848-3209, and by email at mwrdcontact@murfreesborotn.gov.

The City continues to encourage citizens and employees to follow the guidelines provided by the Tennessee Department of Health the Center for Disease Control. For more information about COVID-19, visit the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html  and the State Department of Health https://www.tn.gov/health/cedep/ncov.html.

The Rutherford County Health Department Public Information Line is available 615-898-7880, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. daily.
