The Murfreesboro City Council will meet in Special Session at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, in the Council Chambers at City Hall for the purpose of reviewing the proposed FY 22 Budget.
Who: The Murfreesboro City Council and City department heads.
What: The proposed FY 22 Budget will be reviewed by the City Council. This will include presentations on the City Budget, Water Resources, Stormwater Fund, Murfreesboro City Schools and Evergreen Cemetery.

Council will conduct a Public Hearing during its Regular meeting at 6 p.m., May 20, 2021, to consider ‘First Reading’ of the FY22 Budget ordinance, proposed tax rate, and appropriations ordinances and Budget Resolutions for Schools, Water Resources, Stormwater Fund and Evergreen Cemetery. Second reading will be considered at the City Council Workshop, June 9, 2021. The Council budget decisions will be considered ahead of the new Fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021.
The FY 22 Budget will be distributed to City Council on or before May 15, 2021, in accordance with the Murfreesboro City Charter. The proposed budget is available on the City’s website at https://www.murfreesborotn.gov/DocumentCenter/View/17705/FY-2022-Proposed-Budget.
