[ARCHIVED] City offices and facilities closed Jan. 6 and Jan. 7, due to inclement weather

As announced via social media, City Hall, offices, and City facilities will be closed except essential to public safety, Thursday, Jan. 6 and Friday, Jan. 7, 2022. All City meetings, including Thursday evening’s City Council meeting and public hearings, are cancelled, and will be rescheduled.  

 

Essential City services, Public Safety and Street Department for snow and ice removal, continue to operate. 

 

Murfreesboro Transit will not run Thursday, Jan. 6 and Friday, Jan. 7, due to inclement weather.

 

Murfreesboro Solid Waste will have limited collection service Thursday, Jan. 6, and will be suspended Friday, Jan. 7, due to the closing of Middle Point Landfill, due to inclement weather.  On Saturday, Jan. 8, Solid Waste trucks will start collecting garbage at 5 a.m. for the remaining Thursday route and Friday's route, running until all Thurs. and Fri. routes are completed.
