[ARCHIVED] City offices and facilities closed Jan. 6 and Jan. 7, due to inclement weather; Parks open Saturday

As announced via social media, City Hall, offices, and City facilities will be closed except essential to public safety, Thursday, Jan. 6 and Friday, Jan. 7, 2022. Murfreesboro Parks facilities will open normal hours beginning Saturday, Jan. 8. 


Murfreesboro Parks & Recreational facilities, including Sports*Com and the Polar Bear Plunge, will proceed with normal operating hours.  The "Artic Adventure" begins at 8:30 a.m. and the "Plunge" into Boro Beach will commence at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022.   

 

Murfreesboro Solid Waste will have limited collection service Thursday, Jan. 6, and suspended collection Friday, Jan. 7, due to the closing of Middle Point Landfill.  On Saturday, Jan. 8, Solid Waste trucks will start collecting garbage at 5 a.m. for the remaining Thursday route and Friday's route, running until all Thurs. and Fri. routes are completed. 


Murfreesboro Transit did not run Thursday, Jan. 6 and Friday, Jan. 7, due to inclement weather.


All City meetings, including the Thursday Jan. 6 City Council meeting and public hearings, were cancelled, and will be rescheduled.
