- The 2022 and final running of the Middle Half marathon will be dedicated to one of its founders, Miles Tate, who passed away unexpectedly April 4 at the age of 62. Miles ran fifty-four marathons, including the Boston Marathon four times. - The Murfreesboro City Council approved the Development Agreement for the Notes Live amphitheater project, a $40 million entertainment investment on Medical Center Parkway and Gateway Boulevard. The Notes Live campus will include the Bourbon Brothers Smokehouse and Tavern, Boot Barn Hall, and the Sunset on the Stones River Amphitheater. Multimedia producer Steve Burris returns to the announcement May 19 to remind viewers of the features and the man behind the development, founder J.W. Roth. The Development Agreement includes significant traffic improvements to Medical Center Parkway and surrounding roadways

- The Murfreesboro Municipal Airport continues to upgrade its facilities with a new hangar supported by State economic development grant funding.
