[ARCHIVED] City offices and facilities closing in recognition of Veterans Day Nov. 11

Veterans Day

City Hall and other City offices will be closed Friday, Nov 11, 2022, in observance of Veterans Day, a day to honor the heroism and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.  Murfreesboro Transit, the City’s public transportation system, will not run Nov. 11.

 

City Golf courses, Old Fort, VA, and Bloomfield Links will remain open regular hours on Veterans Day. 

 

Adams Tennis Complex will be open regular hours Friday, Nov. 11, from 8 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department Main Office along with McFadden Community Center, Patterson Park Community Center, Sports*Com, Wilderness Station, Cannonsburgh, Bradley Academy Museum, St. Clair Street Senior Center will be closed Veterans Day.

 

Garbage pick-up will be on a holiday schedule. The Solid Waste Department will be moving Friday’s garbage pick-up to Thursday, Nov. 10. Thursday routes will be moved to Wednesday Nov. 9. 

Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center will be hosting a Drive Thru Luncheon for veterans, beginning at 12 Noon-2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at the Bradley Academy Museum, 415 S. Academy St. For more information, contact Vonchelle Stembridge at 615-962-8773.
