Teen Citizens Police Academy

The Teen Citizens Police Academy (TCPA) is an educational and informative program modeled after the Murfreesboro Citizens Police Academy. TCPA is designed to give young people the opportunity to learn about the Murfreesboro Police Department and its operations. The teen academy also gives the department an opportunity to interact with teens within the community and solicit their feedback and ideas through discussion of relevant issues. 


Through this free six-week academy, students will acquire knowledge and understanding of the functions and responsibilities of individuals providing law enforcement services in the City of Murfreesboro.  

The Spring Class will meet each Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. beginning February 09 through March 06 at the Murfreesboro police Department. 


Register now as seating is limited and reserved for the first 20 applicants.

Requirements:
High School students ages 14 - 17
Students must live inside Murfreesboro city limits and/or attend a high school located within Murfreesboro city limits.
Provide two adult references (teacher or guidance counselor preferred)
Parental approval
Available to attend all six-weeks or all five days for summer session.
