Junior Officer Summer Camp for Local Kids

Registration is full for all three sessions.
The Junior Officer Summer Camp builds bridges between police and youth as well as their families, teaching safety, respect and encouragement.  Youth learn valuable skills, such as internet/phone safety, bicycle safety, self-defense, teambuilding, games, fun and much more.

The week-long summer camps will be held at two different Murfreesboro City Schools.

July 10–14 and July 24-28
Mitchell-Neilson Primary School
For Murfreesboro City Schools Students Only

July 17-21
Murfreesboro Police Department Headquarters
1004 N. Highland Avenue, Murfreesboro
Open for All Students

The cost of the camp is $50 per camper.

Other planned activities include: 

  • Police Department Tour
  • Safety Day at School
  • Emergency Services Day
  • Field Day
  • Safety Classes

The camp is offered by the MPD School Safety Division in partnership with Murfreesboro City Schools and Murfreesboro Parks & Recreation. 
Space is limited and open to 30 applicants for each camp.
