Signups are open for Outdoor Murfreesboro's Conservation Days Nature Adventures!

Make plans to engage with nature the week of May 15-20! Hike with a naturalist, volunteer to help with a stewardship project, or both! There is something to do every day of the week leading up to our main Conservation Days event at the Wilderness Station on Saturday May 20.

Registration is required for the events during the week and for the reservation of the ADA Cart on Saturday.

Main Event: Saturday, May 20
Wilderness Station at Barfield Park
9 a.m.-3 p.m.

  • Speakers, Activities and Exhibits throughout the day
  • Native Plant Sale until 1 p.m.
  • Nature Walks in the morning and afternoon
  • Food Trucks

Nature Excursions:

  • Mon., 5/15, 9-11 a.m. - North Murfreesboro Greenway, New Section  
  • Tues., 5/16, 3:30-5:30 p.m. - Stones River National Battlefield - Wildflower Walk and Resource Management Talk
  • Thurs., 5/18, 6:30-8:30 am - Siegel Natural Area: Birding Walk
  • Fri., 5/19, 2:00-4:00 p.m. - Overbridge State *Natural Area: Wildflower Habitat Restoration Walk
  • Sat., 5/20, various times - ADA Buggy Trail Rides with a Naturalist

  • Tues., 5/16, 8-11 am - Walter Hill Trailhead: Kudzu Wrangle
  • Wed., 5/17, 9 am - Noon - Wilderness Station Native Gardens: Spring Garden Maintenance
  • Thurs., 5/18, 9:30 -11:30 am - Lytle Creek Greenway: Litter Removal
  • Fri., 5/19, 9:00-11:30 am - Nickajack Wetlands Natural Area: Turtle Search
