Murfreesboro City Schools featured on “The Insider” Podcast

Trey Duke, Murfreesboro City Schools Director, shares valuable information for parents and educators as MCS begins the new school year in the latest edition of “The Insider.”

This edition of Insider with Dr. Trey Duke features: 


  • How the MCS District devoted the summer school program to educating students, supporting child nutrition through providing 52,000 meals with the Feeding program, running Bob the Book Bus, upgrading facilities—including new multi-purpose play courts, and professional development for over 500 teachers

MCS Director Dr. Trey Duke first joined MCS in 2019 to coordinate the opening of Salem Elementary and to serve as Principal. Previously, he served as the Coordinator of Federal Programs and Response to Intervention with Rutherford County Schools. He also served as the Coordinator of Instructional Technology and RTI as well as a principal at Smyrna Elementary. Duke holds an Ed.D. in Assessment, Learning, and School Improvement from MTSU as well as his master’s in educational leadership.
