Four patients were transported from a two car motor vehicle accident that occurred around 6:30 Wednesday morning on NW Broad Street just past Bumpus Harley Davidson.
Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department’s District 7 and Rescue 9 responded to the scene. According to Shift Commander Daryl Alexander, crews had to extricate one victim.
Two patients were taken via Life-Flight to Vanderbilt Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Two additional patients were transported to VMC via ambulance by Rutherford County EMS.
The inbound lanes of NW Broad Street are expected to be closed for the next few hours. Traffic is being rerouted to the outbound lanes and has been reduced to one lane for inbound and one for outbound.
Murfreesboro Police Department is on scene investigating. All inquiries for accident details shall be made to MPD.
