What types of Grease Control Equipment (GCE) are accepted by Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department?
Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department prefers GCE that is installed on the exterior, more specifically a Grease Interceptor (GI). However, for establishments that meet certain criteria, GCE may be installed on the interior; but not just any type will do. The only GCE that is acceptable for installation on the interior is an Automatic Grease Recovery Unit (AGRU). Under no circumstances will Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department permit the installation of passive Grease Control Equipment on the interior of any Commercial FOG Generator.
