  2. Public Informational Meeting RE: Transportation Alternatives Program Grant (TAP)

    The City is considering the submittal of an application to the TN Dept. of Transportation for a Transportation Alternatives Program Grant for 2022. The purpose of the grant application is to solicit federal transportation funds for the purpose of undertaking a pedestrian improvement project entailing the installation of a pedestrian bridge over Broad Street (SR 1) connecting Vine Street to Front Street. The purpose is to discuss the purpose & need as well as the general intended design and construction parameters of the project & the community’s role in the application process. The City is seeking input and all are encouraged to attend. Persons with disabilities requiring special accommodations should contact Michele Smithson at (615) 893-6441.
