Are you looking for a challenge? Hike 26.2 miles at Barfield Crescent Park in the month of July and earn a super-soft marathon t-shirt! All miles must be hiked on the honor system here in Barfield. The Murfreesboro Adult Basketball League is a great way for adult athletes to be competitive, stay in shape, and continue to play the game. This league offers full court games with qualified officials and scorekeepers weekly. The league is divided into two divisions: An A (competitive) division and a B (rec) division. League play begins in August. Games will be played at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
This fun sport combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. The rules are simple and easy for beginners to learn, but the games can become fast-paced and competitive for experienced players. For 18+.

Do you have a teen that is crazy about animals? This camp will teach them how to properly care for all sorts of critters, wild and domestic. We will use our Wilderness Station Animal Ambassadors in addition to some guest critters to get a better understanding of the needs and responsibilities that incorporate animal care. Campers will have hands-on experiences with our animal care team to learn the ins and outs of our most beloved critters. For ages 13 - 15. Musical Theatre Camp is a jazz and tap based camp filled with Broadway style dancing and music to ensure that students have solid foundation in the dance abilities. This form of dancing emphasizes learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and using facial expressions. This camp also promotes strength in feet and legs for a better understanding of music and rhythm and is specially designed for those wanting to improve their dance technique. For ages 10 - 17. We will establish a working vocabulary and acquire the basic skills of the acting process, from auditions to performance through exercises, games and practice. The “Stuff the Bus” campaign occurs annually to ensure that our most at-risk students have everything they need to start their school year off ready to learn. Items needed for the “Stuff the Bus” Drive include backpacks, color pencils, crayons, dry erase markers, glue sticks, composition notebooks, and scissors. United Way stands as our dedicated partner who continues to solve the problems facing our community that are difficult to face and too hard to ignore.
