As the Assistant Director of Employee Services, Rhonda brings an extensive and diverse background in human resources to the City of Murfreesboro. Rhonda is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), a member of national SHRM, Middle TN SHRM, IPMA-HR and TPMA. She moved to Murfreesboro over 35 years ago from Milan, TN, attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro and received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
With over three decades as a strategic partner in fast-paced, high-growth private sector businesses, Rhonda has led and executed operational change management, championed corporate-wide engagement, facilitated smooth employee experiences for multiple merger and acquisitions, implemented and maintained Human Resource Information Systems, driven all functions of benefit management, performance development, work injuries and safety management. Executives and senior business leaders trust her to advise, provide insight and guidance into business and people strategies.
Rhonda enjoys the hustle of work and making every day, hour/minute count. Providing “white-glove service” to the City’s employees and being a cheerleader for her team are very important to her.
In her downtime, Rhonda loves to travel to Walt Disney World as frequently as possible with her husband. She loves to spend time with her family, including her five grandchildren who call her RaRa. When she’s not at Disney, you can find her on a beach in the Gulf Coast.
